Dr. Carla Cavallo
Carla Cavallo (MSc, PhD) is Researcher of Agricultural Economics at University of Naples Federico II (Italy) Department of Agricultural Sciences. She has got two MSc degrees: in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies (University of Naples Federico II) and Management, Economics and Consumer Studies (Wageningen UR, The Netherlands). She is a member of European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE) and Società Italiana di Economia Agraria (SIDEA).

Her current research interests are related to sustainable and healthy consumer behavior. She devoted several research efforts to understand consumers’ preferences for Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, considering the sensory aspects linked to products with superior healthiness features. In the context of healthy diets, she dealt with consumers’ perceptions and behavior towards bitter-tasting vegetables and possible application of nudging and   techniques to improve people’s diets.
