Antonio Paparella

Antonio Paparella (MSc) is an agronomist and a Ph.D. student at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy). After a master’s (MSc) degree in Agricultural Sciences obtained at the University of Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum, he continued the studies with an advanced master of science in Agricultural Economics and Policy at the Center for Training in Economics and Rural Development Policy in Portici (Italy). Member of the Social-Ecological Systems Simulation centre (SESS) and involved in the ALMaSS project. His fields of interest are ecological economics and agricultural economics. His expertises are: agent-based model simulation, microeconometrics modelling, and consumer behaviour.

PhD research project

The research focus is on the sustainability of different agricultural managements of agricultural landscapes in Europe. An innovative, multidisciplinary approach is being applied to the agent-based simulation model ALMaSS. The project aims at the development of a new farmer behavioural model, that includes attitudes and preferences of the individuals.
