Ahmed Saidi
Ahmed Saidi (Eng., MSc,) is  currently a PhD student in Sustainable Agricultural and Forestry Systems and Food Security at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy), Department of Agricultural Sciences. Saidi has got an engineering degree in agricultural economics and agribusiness management at the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia (Tunisia), and two MSc degrees: in Agricultural Economics and Policy (Centre of Advanced Training, Italy) and in Land and water resources management (Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari).

His current research interests are related to consumer behavior, with a specific focus on innovation, sustainability, consumer attitudes and decision choice.  His research interests are also related to sustainable consumption, consumer attitudes and behaviors through quantitative and qualitative methods, working on advanced quantitative and qualitative consumer choice methodologies (such as choice modeling and experimental economics) and analyzing the resulting data from focus groups using inductive and deductive methods.

PhD research project

Implementation of certification and labeling systems for fish in the mediterranean basin in line with consumers’ preferences: This PhD thesis is carried out within the framework of the SUREFISH PRIMA-project supported by the European Union under the Grant Agreement number 1933. 5 countries associated to the project (Italy, Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon and Spain) aim to achieve unequivocal traceability and confirm fish authenticity, thus preventing frauds.
