Laura Mirra (Msc, PhD) is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Water economics at Polytechnic University of Bari (PoliBa, Italy), Department of Civil, Environmental, Building Engineering and Chemistry. Mirra holds two MSc degrees, in Agricultural Sciences (UniNA, Italy) and Agricultural Economics and Policy (Centre of Advanced Training in Economics and Rural Development Policy, Italy).
Her research interests concern agricultural and water economics, with a special focus on economic instruments for water governance, including water pricing, water accounting, and water value assessment. Mirra manages quantitative methods and models based upon mathematical programming at farm level. During her experience she worked in collaboration with the Agricultural economics research group of the University of Bari “Aldo Moro” (Italy) and at the University of Cordoba (Spain), Water, Environmental and Agricultural Resources Economics Group (WEARE).
