Gerarda Caso
Gerarda Caso (MSc, PhD) is a Researcher in Agricultural Economics at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy), Department of Agricultural Sciences. She holds two MSc degrees: in Agricultural Economics and Policy from the Centre of Advanced Training in Economics and Rural Development Policy (Portici, Italy) and in Food Science and Technology from the University of Naples Federico II. She is a member of the Società Italiana di Economia Agraria (SIDEA).
Her current research interests are related to consumer attitude and behavior towards food products and wine. She evaluates the effectiveness of alternative approaches, such as nudging, grounded in behavioral economic theory, to subtly guide consumers toward healthier and more sustainable decisions. She employs econometric methods to assess consumer preferences and choices, using both hypothetical and non-hypothetical methodologies from experimental economics and randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
